THE MARKET

When I arrived in Javea I use to live near the old town in a quiet end road and lovely neighbors, the office where I was an employee was near the pharmacy Colomer .

My ritual was to go every morning in Plaza del Convent just to have a coffee before starting my day, I’m a bit difficult as Italian and I like only coffee in a cold cup and the owner of this small bar remembered after 2 times! But what I enjoyed most was walking around on Thursday.

Like the town, the Market is located in 3 different areas so you have to walk around depending on what you want to buy!

 In Plaza del Convent you find flowers, shoes and food like cheese, olives, bread, cakes, and sweets.

I use to buy fresh flowers for the office once a week!

Going up in the direction to the Correos the market change with general clothes. The first seller on the left side is the one that sells nice woman dress in linen and cotton, very good quality cause are Italian products.

 In plaza de la Costitucion, where is the underground parking (near de Centro de Salud) there’s the real essence of the market.

It’s amazing the variety of vegetables and fruit you can find, leather artisans and some opportunities in terms of pillows, bed linen, and boots.

I found after months a large extra size set for my bedroom with the opportunity to change 1 week later if it was not correct! Better than a shop!

On the left side of the market, opposite to the emergency enter, there’s a guy that sells all accessories for hair starting from 1 euro!

Love the atmosphere on Thursday morning during the market! You need to go if you never been yet.
